Fixing "You have no pending friendship requests" in BuddyPress

So you're getting the "You have no pending friendship requests" error in BuddyPress when you have Components - Extended Profiles enabled.

As soon as you disable extended profiles, friend requests work properly. But you don't want to disable extended profiles.

Under Settings - BuddyPress choose "Option" then scroll down to "Profile Settings" and check the box next to:

Profile Syncing Enable BuddyPress to WordPress profile syncing This fixed my issue, and I'm able accept friend requests one again with the use of extended profiles.
