Our STUNNING New Bathroom Shelves!

Whoa baby, get a load of my new gorgeous, GLASS bathroom shelves! They're Moen Kingsley Glass shelves.

We can never leave anything alone, they came in Antique Nickel but in order to make them match our dark fixtures, we spray painted them. Nice, eh?

Thanks loads to Guy's parents for hooking us up with these. I am in love!! The bathroom is small (this is our full bath) and this space was just vacant space above the toilet. It makes it much more, mm what's the word? Cozy?

We have a cozy bathroom now!

Our Dresser - The Unveiling!

Our $20.00 thrift store dresser is finished! Let's refresh your memory... before...
Dresser - Before

We cleaned it with water and mild detergent, sanded only where necessary, and used Minwax Gel Stain in Hickory to deepen the color. We replaced the knobs and spray painted the stiletto tips with silver spray paint.

Look at it now!

A few Bathroom Changes

Have we had a couple of weeks.

Guy's grandfather passed away nearly 2 weeks ago. There's been family stuff to tend to, and we've been lazy.

So we're hoping to get back on task a bit this weekend. Half the house is still natural woodwork, and it's starting to get to me.

In the meantime, we FINALLY got a bathroom mirror. It's a very inexpensive one from Walmart, it looks like oil rubbed bronze, sort of.

You know what that means! I'm gonna steal all the brushed nickel crap that's in there now and use it in the half bath upstairs, and I'm replacing it with oil rubbed bronze.

I love oil rubbed bronze, and we thought it might be fun to see if we could "fake it" on the plastic grille of our Nutone fan.
Take a look at what we got, using 2 Krylon Fusion paints

Pretty nice, I think! It also feels like metal to the touch.

I covered the grille completely in the bronze color (2 coats) and went over it lightly, making sure not to completely cover my reddish-bronze with the hammered gray.
This was marked down at my Walmart, so I'm not sure if it's discontinued or what. Since it was made for plastics, I cleaned the grille thoroughly, but didn't bother to prime.
