A Powered Sod Cutter

We had to cut out some sod for a patio and a temporary (Intex) pool. I feared we'd be at it all day and then some but we cut 3 good sized areas and had the thing back in 3 hours!

The sod was super wet since it's been raining for months now, so really moving the rolls around was the toughest job.

Next we gotta level the spots we cut, finish cleaning up the sod rolls, and install pavers and the pool.

I have a theory that this pussy willow tree was planted as 2 small bushes many years ago, and went wild long before I moved in.

At 20 watts a bulb, that's a lot of energy consumption for all intents and purposes, decorative lighting.

You can easily retrofit these kits and fixtures with LED light bulbs from big box stores, but you will be paying for them, to the tune of about $7 per bulb.

I'm happy to share that I've found an alternative to the expensive bulbs from Home Depot and Lowe's! These cost from 90 cents to about a dollar a piece. That's a savings of hard, cold cash and a whopping 17 WATTS per light!

Pussy Willow Tree - RIP ?? - 2017

We are cutting down this awful Pussy Willow tree, which I believe is actually a cluster of 3 or 4 Pussy Willow trees gone wild...

omg not like that.

And grown together to form a hideous, ant-infested piece of shit garbage ass tree.

So anyway now you know why we are cutting it down. But you should know because you are alive that sometimes the doo-doo will hit the fan.

Enjoy said doo-doo doing just that.

Cutting Down the Pines

We had two Pines in our back yard, which were both in bad shape. The one was completely dead and had stopped growing, I'd have to say, 20 years ago. The power company every decade or so comes out and tops them...
