Showing John the Door

I never got a picture of our downstairs toilet. Well, not while it was installed.

We had Uverse installed on Saturday and while the installer was there, Guy and I ripped out the old toilet and installed a new one.

The old toilet, when flushed, my God, I've never seen so much water, and it was more water efficient than the even older one upstairs in the half bath. Go turn your washer on and watch the water fill... that's watching these toilets flush. I joked that you had to wait for Lake Erie to fill back up before you could flush again.

For $88.00 we got the Glacier Bay 2-Piece 1.28 GPF High Efficiency Round Toilet in White. Because the floor is high in the bathroom, Guy did have to run back to HD and grab a wax ring with that cone thing. He ended up just stacking that one with the one that came with the toilet, effectively using them both.

Bonus... a smaller footprint!

Our 39 year old toilet awaiting garbage day. Lake Erie breathes a sigh of relief.
